The beginning of the journey

Just about a year ago my mom and I finally reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro! Standing on top of that mountain was beyond incredible and the feeling when we touched the sign is difficult to describe. It may have been an 8 year journey just to get us to that point, but the past year has been a whirlwind of emotions and planning that has ultimately led to this new goal of climbing the Seven Summits.

So what has happened over the past year (besides COVID obviously); well, upon returning to the U.S. we almost instantly knew that Kilimanjaro was not the end of this journey, but rather the beginning. We hit the gym, hit the books and began planning what was going to come next.

Seven Summits, though, was not the first thing that came to mind. We looked all around the world to see what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go, but eventually we realized there has never been a Mother-Son team to complete the Seven Summits. As we dove deeper into the topic we not only realized how much training, focus, and preparation it would take to get us there, but we realized just how much potential this journey could have. Since then we have stepped up our training like never before, researched and planned every angle of our next adventure and developed a bond that is beyond words. Our focus is solely on the mission in front of us and we cannot wait to see where it takes us. We hope you can draw inspiration from this, grab your family and friends and get the chance to plan your own epic adventure somewhere in the world.
